On June 12, Jin completed his military service at the 5th Infantry Division Recruit Training Center in Yeoncheon County, Gyeonggi Province. To thank his fans who had been waiting for him, he immediately began his activities without taking a break. His first schedule didn’t take long. After finishing his discharge ceremony in Yeoncheon, Jin went to the HYBE headquarters in Yongsan, Seoul, with his fellow members and conducted a live broadcast.

During this broadcast, Jin briefly shared his thoughts on his discharge, saying, “I will be a Seokjin who will visit you often in the future. Thank you and love you to all the fans who waited for me.”

According to his agency, Big Hit Music, the live video attracted over 900,000 simultaneous viewers. The broadcast was viewed in 211 countries and regions, with over 3.5 million total views recorded.

The fact that this was Jin’s first schedule after his discharge, along with the presence of other BTS members at the HYBE building, led to hundreds of fans gathering near the building to celebrate his discharge. The police estimated around 500 fans were present. Thirty-five police officers were dispatched to control the scene.

In the second part, Jin will invite 4,000 fans and continue to communicate with them, including performing around three songs.

The ‘2024 FESTA’ will also include other events involving fan participation, in addition to Jin’s activities.
