Actress Han Ye-seul expressed her anger after experiencing racial discrimination during her honeymoon
On May 28th, Han Ye-seul shared on her social media account, “Do you know of this place? I have experienced such discrimination from this place and truly feel offended. As a guest of #Belmond #SplendidoMare #Portofino, my seat was reserved at Terrazza Dior. But without any explanation or apology, they’ve put me in a different seat that is not for the guests of Splendido Mare.”
She added, “They knew I was the hotel guest and confirmed my reservation. They told me my seat was fully booked when it wasn’t. I was able to use the Dior Terrace after making complaints about discrimination.”
Han Ye-seul is currently enjoying her honeymoon in Italy with her non-celebrity husband, who is 10 years younger. She had reserved the hotel’s exclusive beach club, but the hotel staff initially guided her to a different seat. After raising her complaints, she was eventually seated at the terrace spot she had reserved.
Italian fans who learned about this incident have been apologizing on behalf of their country, expressing regret that Han Ye-seul had to endure such an unpleasant experience during her honeymoon.
Meanwhile, Han Ye-seul publicly announced her relationship with her boyfriend, who is 10 years younger, in 2021. Through her YouTube channel “Han Ye-seul is”, she revealed on May 7th that they had registered their marriage.
