Im Si-wan Hit The Jackpot With The Role Lee Je-hoon, Lee Jong-suk, and Ji Chang-wook Turned Down

In January 2010, Im Si-wan made his debut as a member of idol group ZE:A. In 2012, he began his acting career as the young Heo Yeom in the MBC Wednesday-Thursday miniseries “Moon Embracing the Sun,” drawing much attention.
Im Si-wan has been proving his acting skills, playing Park Jin-woo in the movie “The Attourney” and Jang Geu-rae in the drama “Misaeng,” which has gained the sympathy of many modern people. Im Si-wan was recognized as an actor by portraying the attractive character ‘Jang Geu-rae’ in this drama.
In Misaeng, Jang Geu-rae joined the general trading company as a intern and overcame the hardships made by his boss and bullying at work. Viewers praised him for having “100% synchronization with the original webtoon character,” saying “I cried and laughed together at Im Ji-wan’s acting.”
Yang Sung-min, the leader of CJ E&M’s casting team who worked as a casting expert, said, “‘Misaeng’ has been proposed to several actors, including Lee Jong-suk and Ji Chang-wook, in addition to Lee Je-hoon,” adding, “But in our opinion, every role has a person who owns it.”
Im Ji-wan has established himself as a representative male actor in his 30s and built up solid filmography. Recently, Im has been cast and filming in season 2 of ‘Squid Game.’
