Actress Seol In-ah received an unexpected wave of criticism from Lee Kang-in's fans after posting a photo of herself wearing a Kylian Mbappé jersey
On May 12th, Seol In-ah posted several photos on her Instagram story, showing her attending a Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) match in person.
In a photo, she is seen wearing a PSG jersey and holding a banner with Lee Kang-in’s name on it.
The caption read, “Lee Kang-in, fighting!“
However, some fans took issue with the fact that she was wearing a Kylian Mbappé jersey instead of Lee Kang-in.
They pointed out, “Why wear a Kylian Mbappé jersey when you’re there to support Lee Kang-in?“
As Lee Kang-in is a representative player for South Korea, Seol In-ah faced criticism for wearing another player’s jersey.
In the end, on May 13th, she posted an explanation on her Instagram story.
She clarified, “They didn’t sell Lee Kang-in’s shirt that day. It was Kylian Mbappé’s last game for PSG.”
She also expressed her frustration, “Stop sending me those kinds of DMs. It’s distressing.” Netizens responded by supporting Seol In-ah.
Comments included, “Why criticize over something like that?“, “It’s ridiculous that she has to explain this“, “What a tough world we live in“, “It’s her choice whose jersey to buy” and “She held a banner to support Lee Kang-in! You guys are going too far.“
Born in 1996, Seol In-ah debuted as an actress in 2015 through KBS2’s “The Producers”.
