BIGBANG’s Taeyang dedicated a new song to his wife, Min Hyo Rin, and embraced her warmly.
On May 21st, Taeyang released the video titled ‘[Down to Earth] Documentary Film PART 3’ on his channel.
Sitting in the dressing room at home, Taeyang showed tension, saying, “This is the desk in the dressing room where I read books and organize my thoughts. In one minute, my EP album, which I’ve been waiting for a long time, will be released. I’m so nervous.” The video was filmed on the day Taeyang released “Down to Earth” last month.
Taeyang showed the time when it turned 6 pm KST and exclaimed, “It’s released now. Wow! Waiting for 6 years, releasing 6 tracks at 6. It’s a new experience in many ways.”
Afterward, Taeyang accompanied his wife, Min Hyo Rin, to a dinner with BIGBANG members G-Dragon and Daesung and the members of his agency, The Black Label.
Min Hyo Rin, who has supported Taeyang wholeheartedly during his six-year hiatus, also celebrated the occasion by his side.
Taeyang performed the song “Seed” live, accompanied by the pianist’s performance. While watching Min Hyo Rin, he sang with sincerity, and she listened with tears.
After finishing his performance, Taeyang embraced Min Hyo Rin deeply, and she warmly hugged him back.
G-Dragon and Daesung praised the completion and appeal of the album. In response, Taeyang cheered, saying, “It’s so great that the members are all here to celebrate. G-Dragon and Daesung can do it too if they start.“
Previously, Taeyang expressed his gratitude, saying, “Min Hyo Rin has been there for me, not only when I’m going through difficult times but also in every aspect of my life. She supports me without wavering and teaches me so much through her greater sacrifices.“
In the video, Taeyang also mentioned the responsibility he shoulders as an idol and senior artist. He said, “I see many juniors who grew their dreams by watching me, and I feel overwhelmed. I wonder if I should be a good role model as an artist and as a person. Depending on the criteria, it may vary, but I think being an artist who can make music in the coolest way while maintaining a healthy life could be that image.“
Taeyang continued, “I have many senior colleagues who help me a lot, but I wonder if there is anything that can comfort and inspire me as much as seeing someone walking that path. So, I’m not sure if I can do it well myself. At least, as long as I know that, I should make every effort I can.“
Taeyang also mentioned his desire to create more opportunities to meet fans through concerts and other events after his album. He said, “My wish is to create many occasions, such as concerts, where I can meet fans in person. This album wouldn’t have been possible without The Black Label. Regardless of the results, I am extremely happy. Fans love it.”
Taeyang and Min Hyo Rin got married in 2018 and welcomed their son in 2021. Last month, Taeyang released his second solo album, “Down to Earth.”
