Boyfriend of the 2022 Miss International turned out to be a native Korean

This year’s crown of “Miss International,” one of the world’s four major beauty contests, went to the German representative. K-netizens are surprised to find out her boyfriend is a native Korean.

According to foreign media such as the Rappler of the Philippines on Dec 14th, the winning crown of the “Miss International 2022,” held at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan, was given to Miss International Germany Jasmine Selberg (22).

However, immediately after her win, the eyes of Korean netizens gathered elsewhere. Missosology, an international beauty pageants community that delivered the news of the competition in real-time, shared an unexpected fact through its own Facebook page.

It was that Selberg had a Korean boyfriend. His name is Park Young Min.

Looking at the couple’s photo released by Missosology, the two looks just like the main characters of a movie. Not only Selberg, who has been certified as one of the world’s most beautiful women, but her boyfriend Park also boasts a good visual and healthy physique.

In their photo, Park affectionately holds the waist of his tall girlfriend (178cm) in high heels, proving that he is more than 180cm tall.

Park’s personal information is still unknown. However, there is a rumor spreading online that he graduated from high school and university in Korea and is now working for a German company. In other words, he is a native Korean.

K-netizens are in awe. They exclaimed, “They look so good together,” “The perfect example of a holy couple,” and “I am lost for words.”

Miss International is considered one of the world’s top four pageant contests along with “Miss Earth,” “Miss Universe” and “Miss World.” Starting in 1960, the competition welcomes a total of 68 candidates participating this year.

Earlier, Son Tae Young and Seo Eun Mi, who represented South Korea in the 2000 and 2009 competitions, finished second respectively. Yeom Jung Ah won third place in the 1992 competition.
