“Extraordinary Attorney Woo” Joo Hyun-young auditioned for the role of “Spring Sunshine” Choi Soo-yeon rather than Dong Geu-ra-mi

Actress Joo Hyun-young revealed the story behind her audition for the popular drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”.

Joo Hyun-young appeared as a guest on SBS Power FM’s “Park Ha-sun’s Cinetown”, which aired on July 20th.

Joo Hyun-young is playing the role of Dong Geu-ra-mi, Woo Young-woo (Park Eun-bin)’s best friend, in ENA’s “Extraordinary Attorney Woo“.

She has been praised as “the best casting” as she perfectly digested Dong Geu-ra-mi’s tremendous energy of craziness.

However, Joo Hyun-young is said to have auditioned for the role of “Spring Sunshine” Choi Soo-yeon, Woo Young-woo’s colleague at Hanbada, rather than Dong Geu-ra-mi.

Joo Hyun-young confessed, “I wasn’t confident in the role of Dong Geu-ra-mi. It was difficult and burdensome because it was such a funny role.”

She continued, “I told the writer and director that I had prepared for the role of Choi Soo-yeon, but they said that there was an actress they had in mind for Soo-yeon.”

She added, “I overcame the pressure and joined the drama because the director encouraged me to create Dong Geu-ra-mi together.”

In addition, Joo Hyun-young drew attention by revealing that she made the unique greeting method “Woo to the Young to the Woo” with Park Eun-bin.

Meanwhile, “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” is breaking its own highest rating every episode through word-of-mouth that it is a well-made work.

According to the ratings research company Nielsen Korea, episode 8 of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” recorded 13.1% nationwide, 15.0% in the metropolitan area and the highest rating of 16.8%.
