However, while he received a lot of hatred for the role, Joo Jong Hyuk also earned a fair share of popularity from “Extraordinary Attorney Woo Young Woo”. Despite his character being rather minor, the actor drew attention for his unique charm and an iconic mole on his nose. In addition, he attended university in the world’s top 1% before turning to acting, which greatly impresses netizens.

Before switching to acting, Joo Jong Hyuk was the ideal son of many Asian parents. The actor graduated high school in Korea, before going abroad to major in Marketing and Hotel Management at the Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand. The fact that he successfully entered such a school is simply admirable.

However, while working part-time as a barista, a customer offered Joo Jong Hyuk a role in a commercial film, leading to the actor developing a passion for acting. In 2015, he actualized his dream, and started to star in independent films.
