Local fans in L.A caused controversy over bad manners when meeting Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin on their honeymoon

Local fans are being criticized for their attitudes toward Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin, who have arrived at Los Angeles (L.A) airport and started their honeymoon trip.

On April 12th, numerous photos taken by people who saw Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin at Tom Bradley International Terminal in L.A were spread widely on SNS sites and online communities.

According to the released posts, local fans said “Congratulations” to the couple in English, and some even gave gifts to Hyun Bin. Son Ye-jin thanked fans for their support and congratulations by bowing her head, while Hyun Bin replied, “Thank you”, briefly in English.

In particular, how Hyun Bin took great care of his wife after leaving the airport made headlines. When a bus was about to pass behind Son Ye-jin, who was standing in front of her cart, Hyun Bin pulled Son Ye-jin toward him while talking on the phone.

What makes netizens dissatisfied is how local fans gathered around Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin to ask for their autographs. They also kept taking photos of the two while not wearing masks.

Netizens called out these local fans for their bad manners and lack of respect. It is understandable that the interest in Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin is high because they are both top stars of the Hallyu wave, it should not be an excuse for local fans to act rudely towards a couple who came to enjoy their honeymoon in private. They are celebrities but this is their personal life, so courtesy still needs to be kept.

Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin tied the knot in a luxurious wedding held at the Grand Walkerhill Hotel in Gwangjang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, on March 31st. After getting married, the two did not go on their honeymoon immediately but reportedly stayed at their honeymoon house in Guri, Gyeonggi province. They plan to have a romantic time in LA and Hawaii for their belated honeymoon.
