9 couples were born on the set of “My Dearest”

News emerged that 9 couples from the production team of MBC’s drama “My Dearest” formed romantic relationships

On Nov 18th, MBC’s drama “My Dearest” ended with its final episode, achieving a remarkable in-house record viewership of 12.9%.

Due to the drama’s immense popularity, it extended from its initially planned 20 episodes to 21 episodes.

The “My Dearest” production team celebrated the conclusion of the drama on Nov 19th.

On this occasion, a professor from Dankook University who taught the actors the Manchu language shared through their Instagram story, “I just heard that there were 8 couples in Team A of our ‘My Dearest’ team. Soon, it’ll be 9 couples.”

According to the professor, 9 couples were formed in just one team of the production team.

Since there are known to be multiple teams, speculation is rising that there might be even more couples among the staff.

Upon hearing the news, netizens expressed reactions such as “The drama title lives up to its name (Korean title: Lover)“, “The on-set atmosphere must have been good” and “Given the long filming time, it’s natural for such relationships to develop.
