Here are Korean works produced by Netflix that will soon be introduced.
Many new Netflix contents and new seasons of K-dramas, which have been well-received for their solid stories, actors’ performances, and directing skills, are about to be released.
1. Glitch
“Glitch” depicts the mysterious story that takes place when Hong Ji-hyo meets a community of UFO watchers while tracking down the whereabouts of her boyfriend who went missing with an unidentified light. Actress Jeon Yeo-bin and Lee Dong-hwi will appear in this drama.
2. Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area part 2
“Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” tells the story of 8 criminals gathered by a man called “Professor” robbing the Mint. Part 2 with 6 episodes is scheduled to be released at the end of 2022.
3. Song of the Bandits
“Song of the Bandits” is an action series in which people who were deprived of their homes and expelled in the 1920s come to Japan with a refreshing blow. Actors Kim Nam-gil, Seohyun, Yoo Jae-myung, Lee Hyun-wook, and Lee Ho-jung starred in this work.
4. Mask Girl
“Mask Girl” tells about Kim Mo-mi, who has an inferiority complex for her appearance because of her face despite having an unrealistic body, living a double life as an ordinary office worker during the day and an Internet broadcasting BJ in the evening with her face covered by a mask.
5. D.P. Season 2
“D.P.” tells about Jun-ho and Ho-yeol, whose mission is to catch deserters, chasing people with various backstories and facing the reality they did not know. Actors Jung Hae-in, Koo Kyo-hwan, Kim Sung-kyun, Son Seok-gu, Shin Seung-ho and Jo Hyun-chul performed enthusiastically in Season 1.
In addition to Jung Hae-in, Koo Kyo-hwan, Kim Sung-kyun, and Son Seok-gu, Ji Jin-hee and Kim Ji-hyun will join the lineup and portray new characters in Season 2.
6. Sweet Home Season 2
The webtoon-based drama “Sweet Home” depicts the bizarre and shocking story that takes place in an apartment where a suicidal high school student moves in after losing his family and stays alone inside his room due to the wound caused by school violence.
The main cast members of Season 1, including Song Kang, Lee Jin-wook, and Lee Si-young, will return in Season 2.
7. All of Us Are Dead Season 2
Netflix’s original series “All of Us Are Dead” is based on a webtoon of the same name serialized on Naver Webtoon from 2009 to 2011. It tells the story of high school students being isolated in their school where the zombie virus spread and struggling to survive while waiting for rescue.
8. Squid Game Season 2
Netflix hit “Squid Game”, which depicts people participating in a survival game to win 45.6 billion won, was revealed to have been scripted by director Hwang Dong-hyuk, who was behind the success of famous movies, such as “Silenced”, “Miss Granny” and “The Fortress”, since 2008.
Actors Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun and Gong Yoo are expected to appear in Season 2.
