5 most buzzing pairings of the Korean screen at the end of 2022: Song Joong Ki and Shin Hyun Bin generates hype for their collaboration

These dramas are the talk of the town for unique premises and pairings.

1. Song Joong Ki – Shin Hyun Bin (The Youngest Son of a Chaebol Family)

The most anticipated on-screen couple in the ending months of 2022 is Song Joong Ki and Shin Hyun Bin of the drama series “The Youngest Son of a Chaebol Family”. In this show, Song Joong Ki plays Yoon Hyun Woo, a loyal employee of Sunyang family company, who is murdered to be the scapegoat of his employer’s corruption. The murderer behind his death is the youngest son of the Sunyang family, Jin Do Joon. Surprisingly Hyun Woo is reborn inside the body of his enemy. And the revenge commences with Seo Min Young (Shin Hyun Bin), a prosecutor of an anti-corruption team, complicating the equation.

2. Hyeri – Lee Jun Young (One Hundred Won Butler)

Hyeri shows her hard-working spirit when the actress takes on yet another new television role in the upcoming “One Hundred Won Butler”. This time around, she will co-star with Lee Jun Young, an idol turned actor. Acting skill aside, netizens are buzzing about the visual pairing of the actors.

In the series, Hyeri transforms into a funeral director with a mysterious ability of walking up and talking to the deceased. With the help of Kim Job Sa (Lee Jung Young), an errands guy, the duo help out the spirits with their unfinished business.

3. Kang Ha Neul – Ha Ji Won (Curtain Call)

“Curtain Call”, or previously “Trees Die on Their Feet”, is the drama marking the first ever collaboration between Kang Ha Neul and Ha Ji Won. In the series, Kang Ha Neul plays a poor but joyful theater actor Yoo Jae Heon. His life reaches a turning point when he is offered to play the grandson of an older woman separated from her family in wartime and fulfill her death wishes. The act is at risk of being exposed when he bumps into Park Se Yeon (Ha Ji Won) – general manager of Nakwon Hotel and youngest daughter of a chaebol family.

4. Sooyoung – Yoon Park (Please Send a Fan Letter)

Sooyoung (Girls’ Generation) is having another comeback, after “If You Wish Upon Me” co-starring with Ji Chang Wook, in an MBC drama series “Please Send a Fan Letter”. Her partner in the show is Yoon Park, a well-known supporting actor whose most recent appearance was “Forecasting Love and Weather”. In this series, Sooyoung plays Kang Hee, an actress going through her biggest career crisis. Her life is partly comforted by a fake fan letter from Jeong Seok (Yoon Park).

5. Han Suk Kyu – Kim Seo Hyung (Recipe for Farewell)

“Recipe for Farewell” is an interesting choice at the end of 2022 if young people’s love stories are not one’s cup of tea. The drama marks Kim Seo Hyung’s return after a period of disappearance after “Mine”. She is paired with Han Suk Kyu as a married couple. The drama, based on the real-life story of writer Kang Chang Rae, tells a cooking diary of a husband, who prepares meals for his wife diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer after they finished with the divorce process.
