Lee Byung-hun, who received “Best Actor”, humorously said, “I think anyone in the film industry would want the Blue Dragon Film Awards. Looking at the trophy in my hands, it feels genuinely fair.”

He expressed gratitude, “Authority doesn’t seem to be something made intentionally; it builds up over time by gaining recognition and trust. I think this awards ceremony is in the position it is because Kim Hye-soo has been skillfully hosting it for 30 years. Thank you for your hard work all these years.”

She expressed her respect for Kim Hye-soo, “Lastly, I want to make a confession. Eternal ‘Miss Kim’, senior Kim Hye-soo. If I hadn’t met you 10 years ago, I don’t know if I would be acting now. I’ll always support you. You have worked so hard. I hope you stay beautiful wherever and whenever.”

This year’s Blue Dragon Film Awards received particular attention as it marked the last time Kim Hye-soo, who had been the face of Blue Dragon for the past 30 years, served as the host. Except for 1998, Kim Hye-soo hosted the Blue Dragon Film Awards from 1993 to this year. She announced that this event would be her final appearance as the host.
