4 kiss scenes in Korean dramas and movies that were regrettably deleted

These kissing scenes are not offensive or anything, but they were still removed from the final cuts. 

1. Kim Da Mi – Choi Woo Sik

Our Beloved Summer starring Kim Da Mi and Choi Woo Sik is currently gaining much attention on SNS thanks to its fun and adorable storyline. Although the drama has only aired 4 episodes so far, the main couple has already had their first “almost-kiss” moment. As soon as Kim Da Mi and Choi Woo Sik’s lips are about to touch, the screen switches to a new scene. This makes the audience feel upset, especially when the two kiss for real behind the scenes. For whatever reason, their first on-screen kiss was taken away. 

2. Gong Yoo – Kim Go Eun

The most regrettable deleted kiss scene in the history of K-drama is the steamy kiss between Kim Go Eun and Gong Yoo in the final episode of Goblin. The viewers expressed huge regret and wondered why this passionate kiss did not make the final cut. 

3. Shin Se Kyung – Bi Rain

Return To Base is one of Shin Se Kyung’s most well-known films. She and her co-star Bi Rain had a lot of emotional scenes in the movie, but two of them were deleted from the theatrical version. Both removed kiss scenes are quite steamy, according to the producer, especially the kiss between him and her during their picnic, which occurs in the middle of the film. Unfortunately, it was cut due to the director’s request.

4. Suzy – Lee Je Hoon

Suzy and Lee Je Hoon’s romantic kiss in Introduction To Architecture was cut off when the movie was released to keep the sorrowful ambiance of the scene. Fortunately, it was later included to the DVD edition of the film by the producer. This romantic scene was originally scheduled to be shown in parallel with the kiss scene between the two characters in the real time, according to the film distribution unit. To complete the sweet kiss scene, both Suzy and Je Hoon had to walk around the streets of Jeju Island.
