3-awards-winner Taylor Swift danced and sang along to BLACKPINK’s ‘Pink Venom” at MTV VMA

BLACKPINK’s performance of “Pink Venom” at the 2022 MTV VMA was greatly enjoyed by Taylor Swift, who swept the ceremony with 3 awards.

On August 28th (local time), BLACKPINK attended the 2022 MTV VMA (MTV Video Music Awards), which was held at the Prudential Center in New Jersey, USA, and presented a splendid performance.

At the awards ceremony, BLACKPINK delivered a stunning stage for their pre-release single “Pink Venom”, and won the Best Metaverse Performance Award. In addition, BLACKPINK member Lisa also won Best K-Pop for her solo song “LALISA”.

The hip hop track “Pink Venom”, which perfectly shows off BLACKPINK’s unique strong charisma, is a pre-release track from the group’s upcoming 2nd full album “Born Pink”, which will be unveiled on September 16th.

Meanwhile, at the MTV VMA, famous pop star Taylor Swift, who was announced as the winner of 3 awards, was spotted dancing along and cheering during BLACKPINK’s performance, drawing the audience’s attention.

In addition, in the lyrics of “Pink Venom”, there is a reference to Taylor Swift’s 2017 song “Look What You Make Me Do”, making the interaction even more interesting.

Knowing this, Taylor Swift greatly enjoyed BLACKPINK’s stage while singing along to all the English lyrics, even shouting aloud the verse that referred to her.

As BLACKPINK appeared, rapper Latto, the co-host of the awards, introduced: “This next group has not only dominated K-pop, they’ve taken over the world.” She then noted that this is not only the girl group’s first time ever at the VMAs but also their first ever U.S. award show performance.
