International fans were even more enthusiastic about showing off the traditional Korean costume, Hanbok, and how their favorite K-pop idols look when wearing it. Fans gave examples of their biases putting on hanbok as stage outfits or explaining their appearances in historical K-dramas, using the hashtag #Hanbok_AsExpected.

In particular, idol-turned actors, D.O. and Junho, who played Crown Prince of Joseon in 100 Days My Prince and King Jeongjo in The Red Sleeve, respectively, boast an amazing understanding of distinguishing court clothes and casual clothes they wore according to time and purpose, explaining the hanbok craze spreading around the world thanks to the impact of period K-dramas.

Fans left comments such as, “The hanboks reborn as stage costumes were dazzlingly cool”, “The future-oriented and Korean traditional vibes are attractive.”

A total of 30 artists selected through this voting event dressed in hanbok will be displayed on digital posters in the Hongdae subway station from February 25th to March 3rd, and a total of 21 teams will be seen on the Sinchon U-Flex underground billboards from February 21st to 28th.
