It is known that the 2023 SBS Drama Awards was held after the sudden passing of actor Lee Sun-kyun, who appeared in the SBS drama “Payback”, so the black dress code was likely a gesture of mourning. Prior to the event, actors from the “Payback” also announced their absence from the awards ceremony.
