The final results for the 2022 Oscars 2022 have been announced.
The 2022 Academy Awards officially took place on March 27 (local time) at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles The most prestigious and significant awards in the worldwide film industry have been presented to the best individuals and movies.
Among the contenders, Warner Bros’ epic sci-fi film DUNE took home the most wins of the night with 6 awards but lost in all the most important categories. Best Picture belongs to CODA – the most unexpected nominee. In addition, “Diana” Kristen Stewart also lost the Best Actress award to Jessica Chastain.
The biggest highlight of this year’s Oscars is none other than Will Smith, who won Best Actor for his performance in King Richard. In his acceptance speech, Will Smith broke down in tears after his shocking on-stage confrontation with Chris Rock by punching the comedian in the face and swearing at him on live TV over an insensitive joke about Jada Pinkett Smith (Will Smith‘s wife).
