Actress Kim Ji-won became the latest building owner in the entertainment industry.

On April 19th, News1 reported that Kim Ji-won signed a contract to purchase a building located behind Dosan-daero in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul for 6.3 billion won in June 2021. According to the report, Kim Ji-won bought the building under the name of Jiwon Entertainment Co., Ltd., where she is an in-house director and CEO.

Recently, Internet users have been paying keen attention to real estate investment cases in the entertainment industry. Before Kim Ji-won, many stars had become “building owners.”

On April 16th, it was reported that Kwon Eun-bi signed a contract to purchase a detached house located along Jungnangcheon Stream in Songjeong-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul for 2.4 billion won last month. The building is a detached house with one basement floor to three floors above the ground, with a land area of 106 square meters and a total floor area of 192.45 square meters. Kwon will pay the balance in June and become the new owner of the building.

On April 17th, it was reported that BLACKPINK’s Lisa purchased a $3.95 million Beverly Hills mansion in Los Angeles, California. Lisa also drew attention in 2022 for purchasing a house located in Seongbuk-dong, Seoul, in full cash of 7.5 billion won.

On April 10th, it was reported that a family corporation with Park Min-young as an in-house director purchased a building in Amsa-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul in April 2018. Park Min-young’s family corporation purchased the building for 4.385 billion won and proceeded with new construction. The construction cost of the building is estimated to have cost 2.4 billion won, and the acquisition cost of the building is estimated to be about 7.3 billion won. The current market price is expected to reach 11 billion won.

On April 8th, it was reported that Hyeri purchased a building located in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam, Seoul, under the name of a corporation she founded in December 2020. The building is an old building, 20 years after its completion, and the purchase price was reportedly KRW 4.39 billion at the time. Hyeri applied for permission for reconstruction after paying the balance in March 2021 and was approved in May of the following year. The building where the reconstruction work has been completed is four stories above the ground and has a total floor area of 499.88㎡. Currently, the market price of the building and land is estimated to be 7.5 billion won, with a simple market price difference of 3 billion won.
