Zico’s Violent Behavior Exposed by His Mother? Criticism Intensifies after “Burning Sun”

After the Burning Sun documentary was released by BBC, various discussions regarding certain male celebrities, including Zico, who once mentioned using a “golden phone” of perpetrator Jung Joon-young, started to emerge. 

As a result, Zico started to come under fire for various reasons, and most recently on May 22, a topic criticizing Zico was published on the Korean forum Pann Nate, drawing over 120,000 views. 

The topic attached a screenshot of an old post published by Zico’s mother, exposing the allegedly violent actions of Zico towards his ex-girlfriend. 

In particular, the post is as below: 

“To Ji-ho (Zico’s real name)’s homeroom teacher,

Not long ago, I heard that he sworn at his girlfriend, who is the top student in the school (according to Jiho, she’s a b*tch…^^), and even kicked the desk with his foot…!!!

A teacher caught him acting out with that characteristic temper, and it seems that homeroom teacher, you were hurt by that incident…

But he (Zico) probably still has to vent his rage more, so he said, ‘Teach, I was wrong, but isn’t it good that I gave that b*tch what she deserve?’

Am I even a proper mom? Sigh”. 

According to this post, Zico not only went violent towards his ex-girlfriend, but also used vulgar words, prompting scathing comments from netizens. Below are some of the comments:

• Is that what the mother wrote?… How can she be proud of her son like that?
• I feel sorry for the girl who was number one in her school. I guess she’s doing well without exposing Zico’s school violence.
• Just looking at the atmosphere, the one on the left (of the attached photo) looks like a teacher and the one on the right looks like a mother…and the mother doesn’t seem to have an ordinary temperament either.
• Wow this is my first time seeing this… Such actions…
• I’m shocked at this personality…
