Zico to Miss Schedules Due to Vocal Cord Inflammation Amid “Burning Sun” Criticism
Rapper Zico is taking a break from his schedules, including a university event today, due to vocal cord inflammation.
On May 26, Zico’s agency, KOZ Entertainment, announced on the fan community platform Weverse that Zico felt something wrong with his throat during practice yesterday and went to the hospital for a check-up. After a detailed examination, he was diagnosed with vocal cord inflammation and was advised by the medical staff to rest and recover. As a result, he will not be attending the scheduled event at Yonsei University today.
KOZ also added, “Our agency plans to prioritize the artist’s health in managing his schedule and will do our best to ensure that Zico can recover and resume his activities healthily.”
Meanwhile, Zico released the new song ‘SPOT!’ featuring BLACKPINK’s Jennie on April 26.
At the same time, Zico has been facing criticisms, especially after a documentary about the “Burning Sun” scandal was recently released. Additionally, he is also facing an allegation of acting violent towards an ex-girlfriend and writing controversial song lyrics.
