Chinese actor Zhang Linghe has recently found himself at the center of a growing safety concern after being mobbed by a large crowd of fans at a high-speed rail station.

According to circulating footage on Weibo, the incident unfolded as Zhang Linghe arrived at the station, where an overwhelming number of fans had gathered. Crowds filled multiple levels of the venue, with many individuals holding up phones to capture close-range photos and videos. Despite the presence of security personnel, the situation quickly became difficult to control.

In the videos, Zhang Linghe is seen dressed in black and wearing a face mask while being escorted by staff. However, fans continued to press in, at times blocking pathways and disrupting the flow of movement inside the station. Security repeatedly attempted to manage the crowd, but order briefly broke down amid the intense fan activity.

The actor’s popularity has surged recently thanks to his leading role in the historical drama Zhu Yu, which significantly boosted his public recognition. As his visibility increases, so too has the frequency of fans tracking his movements in public and private settings.

In response to the incident, Zhang Linghe’s studio released an official statement outlining three key points. The agency strongly opposed invasive fan behaviors, including stalking and unauthorized filming, and urged supporters to respect the actor’s personal space and privacy. The statement also emphasized that such actions may violate public safety regulations and should cease immediately.

Zhang Linghe himself reposted the statement, expressing his discomfort with the situation. He wrote, “I really don’t want to meet everyone in this way,” highlighting his concern over the unsafe and chaotic encounter.

The incident has reignited discussions about fan culture and boundaries, particularly regarding “sasaeng”-like behavior in the Chinese entertainment industry. While fans continue to show strong support for Zhang Linghe’s work, the actor and his team are calling for a more respectful and orderly way of engagement moving forward.
