YouTuber notorious for spreading malicious rumors about Jennie, Karina, Jang Wonyoung and other idols has been sued

The infamous YouTube channel “Sojang”, which often spreads malicious rumors and gossip, has been sued.

On August 17th, KQ Entertainment, the agency of Kpop boy group ATEEZ, posted a notice about their lawsuit against notorious YouTube channel Sojang.

In particular, the agency said: “On August 16th, ATEEZ filed a complaint with the investigation agency against a YouTuber who recently posted a malicious video on charges of insulting, obstructing business, defamation, and violating copyright law, and submitted all evidence.”

“We decided that the YouTuber in question is a very malicious case, as they have been making videos as if distorted contents were true and taking personal profits”, the company added.

“Sojang” is a channel that mainly spreads rumors about Kpop idols and creates gossip surrounding popular names like aespa, IVE Jang Wonyoung, Red Velvet Yeri, BTS V, and BLACKPINK Jennie.

The owner of Sojang has criticized various idols on online platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, DC Inside, Instiz, and T-story, since the days first-generation idols were successful, and is speculated to be a woman in her mid to late 40s.

Prior to ATEEZ, BTS V also announced on Weverse on December 20th of last year that he would sue Sojang directly, and before that, EXO Xiumin also filed a lawsuit.
