While K-pop idols are usually thought to not know how to do housework or cook for themselves, Yoona (Girls’ Generation) broke the stereotype by demonstrating a useful tip on how to unclog the toilet that worked miraculously.
In the reality show where Yoona appeared on, the moment she saw the toilet was clogged, the singer was quickly onto her job. She looked for a plastic bag and a duck tape but not the usual plunger. The demonstrated trick was simple and everyone could do it.
Step 1: Cover the toilet seat with the plastic bag and use tape to fix the bag in place and stop the contain the air within
Step 2: Flush the toilet to create pressure and use hands to press down the inflated parts of the plastic bag 2 or 3 times
Step 3: Flush the toilet after the toilet is unclogged to clean up the rest of the stuff in the toilet
In explaining the trick, it is said that the taped plastic bag helps generate a huge pressure that pushes down the stuff in the toilet along with the flush of water.
