Yoona and Jun Ho’s “King the Land” records rating rise amid criticisms 

Despite initially receiving criticisms, the ongoing K-drama “King the Land” is witnessing an increase in viewership ratings. 

According to Nielsen Korea on June 25th, episode 4 of K-drama “King the Land”, which features Yoona and Jun Ho, has recorded a viewership rating of 9.6% (nationwide) and 10% (Seoul).

This is almost double the ratings of episode 1 (5% nationwide and 5.3% Seoul), proving the rapidly rising interest of audiences in the series. 

Most notably, when “King the Land” first aired, it received huge criticism for having an “immature plot”, “predictable writing”, and even “cringey dialogue”. However, as the series run its course, many viewers grow to love its simplicity and humor, as well as Yoona and Jun Ho’s sweet chemistry, leading to increased interest.

On the other hand, JTBC’s “King the Land” is a romantic-comedy drama that tells the story of the bright and lovely hotelier Cheon Sa Rang (Yoona), who always has a smile on her face, and the heir and head general manager of the King Hotel Gu Won (Lee Jun Ho), who hates anyone that fakes a smile.

The series is aired every Saturday and Sunday on JTBC and OTT platform Netflix.
