The May 31 broadcast of KBS2’s variety show “2 Days & 1 Night Season 4” featured Yoo Seon Ho saying his goodbyes to the cast members ahead of his departure from the program.
During the episode, Lee Joon and DinDin took part in an anchovy-sorting job that they described as the toughest labor mission in the history of “2 Days & 1 Night.” Although the two received wages of 60,000 won each, excessive spending by the members who were exempt from the task increased the team’s total debt to 135,000 won. Fortunately, the members succeeded in a mission that required everyone to return to base camp within seven minutes, allowing them to erase the entire debt in dramatic fashion.
After all scheduled activities were completed, the four members secretly left the base camp without Yoo Seon Ho to prepare a surprise event for the youngest member, who was spending his final night on the show. When Yoo Seon Ho later stepped outside and discovered the gifts and decorations the members had prepared throughout the day, he appeared deeply moved and could not take his eyes off the surprise.
The members then read heartfelt letters they had written for Yoo Seon Ho. While reading his letter, DinDin broke down in tears, revealing how difficult it was to say goodbye to the beloved youngest member. Yoo Seon Ho warmly embraced the sobbing DinDin and shared his gratitude, saying, “I was so happy and grateful to travel around the country with my older brothers every week. Although my journey on ‘2 Days & 1 Night’ is ending, I gained a reliable family that I’ll stay with for life. Thank you for everything.”
After the graduation party lovingly prepared by the members came to an end, the five cast members returned to their accommodation. Before going to sleep, they spent hours talking together, making the most of their final night with Yoo Seon Ho. The next morning, the members headed to the village hall and met the production staff while they were having breakfast.
Following a promise made the previous night that anyone who cried would have their face drawn on, many staff members arrived with doodles all over their faces. Seeing the production team tear up over his departure, Yoo Seon Ho could no longer hold back his emotions and finally burst into tears. As the price for crying, his face was covered with drawings as well. He then took one final group photo with the cast and crew, bringing his entire “2 Days & 1 Night” journey to a close.
Yoo Seon Ho joined “2 Days & 1 Night” as a new cast member in December 2022 and quickly won viewers’ hearts with his pure, bright personality and natural variety-show charm. Even during his final trip, he showcased the cheerful energy and wit that fans had come to love. Supported by the cast members and production staff, Yoo Seon Ho officially wrapped up his three-year-and-six-month journey on the beloved program.
