On May 31, Hong Yoo Kyung shared the joyful news, writing, “Everyone, a beautiful baby has come into my belly. Kyaaaaa! I’ve been wanting to tell you all for so long, but I had to keep it a secret. Now that I’ve reached the stable stage of my pregnancy at 16 weeks, I can finally make the announcement.”

She continued, “Our baby’s nickname is Dangdang. We chose it with the hope that the baby will grow up strong and confident. I’m still a beginner mom-to-be who doesn’t know much yet, but I’ll do my best to learn and become a wonderful mother. Please continue to watch over me and send lots of love and support.”

Hong Yoo Kyung also added, “If there are any fellow Horse-sign moms out there, let’s communicate and prepare for this journey together. Dangdang, grow up healthy and strong until the day we meet. I love you.” Her heartfelt message quickly drew warm congratulations from fans and friends.

Along with the announcement, she shared ultrasound photos, officially revealing her pregnancy.

Hong Yoo Kyung debuted as a member of Apink in 2011 but left the group in 2013 to focus on her studies. After her departure, she pursued a master’s degree in Clothing and Textiles at Seoul National University. In 2021, she drew attention by revealing her new career as a fashion designer. She later married in 2023 and is now preparing to welcome her first child.
