Yoo Ah In suddenly reversed his claim of taking drugs alone and admitted to having accomplices

Actor Yoo Ah In reversed his statement about smoking marijuana during the substantive examination of an arrest warrant.

On May 24th, Yoo Ah In, who previously claimed that he smoked marijuana alone, changed his statement and revealed that he smoked with several people. As a result, the police plan to conduct further investigations before determining whether to reapply for an arrest warrant due to the inconsistency in Yoo Ah In’s statements.

That day, Yoo Ah In insisted, “I admit to many parts of the charges”, adding “But I did not attempt to help my accomplice (author A who graduated from an art school) to escape”. 

While being escorted to the car after the substantive examination, Yoo Ah In apologized to reporters, saying “I’m sorry. I really regret taking drugs. The claim that I tried to destroy evidence is not true”.

At 11:30 p.m. on the same day, the court rejected the arrest warrant and explained, “It is difficult to acknowledge the reasons and necessity for an arrest. A significant amount of evidence related to the crime has already been secured, and the suspect also admits to many basic parts of the case”.

They continued, “In addition, it is necessary to ensure Yoo Ah In’s right to defend himself as we cannot completely rule out that there may be some room for dispute regarding cocaine inhalation. He is also reflecting himself for smoking marijuana.”

Yoo Ah In is accused of taking five types of drugs, including marijuana, propofol, cocaine, ketamine, and zolpidem.
