“Marijuana suspicion” Yoo Ah In purposely changed his return date to prevent drug substance detection?

Yoo Ah In’s habitual propofol use allegation has suddenly become a marijuana use suspicion.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Drug Crime Investigation Unit recently revealed the result of Yoo Ah In’s urine test conducted by the National Forensic Service and the actor tested positive for common marijuana. On February 10th, the investigation has been expanded from a propofol use allegation to marijuana use charges. 

In fact, it is hard to identify propofol through the urine test as it disappears from the body after 3-4 days. Therefore, more accurate investigation details can only be known when the result of the National Forensic Service’s thorough hair examination is released on February 20th.

In the meantime, TV Chosun’s News9 quoted the police’s notice saying that Yoo Ah In was originally scheduled to return to Korea from the U.S. on February 3rd but he suddenly postponed the plan to February 5th. Therefore, people have raised suspicions that the actor’s schedule might have been delayed on purpose to prevent the detection of drug substances.

In this regard, Yoo Ah In’s agency UAA said, “The U.S. trip was his personal schedule”, adding “Yoo Ah In himself and our agency have not yet received any statement from the police about the possibility of the actor receiving a ‘positive’ result for marijuana in the urine test”.
