Yoo Ah-in, who is facing allegations of drug use, has appointed additional legal representatives ahead of his first trial
According to legal circles on Nov 10th, Yoo Ah-in submitted a notification of additional election of counsel on this day.
Aside from Infinity Law Firm and Dongjin Law Firm, Haegwang Law Firm was additionally appointed. The total number of lawyers has reached 8.
Among the newly appointed lawyers, a former chief judge of the High Court and a former head of the Drug Division at the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office are included. This move is interpreted as Yoo Ah-in strengthening his legal team before the first trial on Nov 14th.
However, on Nov 10th, Yoo Ah-in’s legal representatives also submitted a request to change the trial date. It remains to be seen if the first trial date will be altered according to Yoo Ah-in’s request.
Yoo Ah-in is facing allegations of using various drugs, including propofol, marijuana, cocaine, ketamine and zolpidem.
