A recently deleted Instagram Story from NCT and WayV member Yangyang has become a hot topic among fans, with many debating whether the message was aimed at the controversy surrounding WayV’s latest tour announcement.
On July 24, SM Entertainment officially announced WayV’s upcoming concert tour, “Born This Way.” The tour will kick off with performances in Seoul this September before continuing with additional shows in Japan in January.
The announcement came shortly after WayV confirmed plans to release a new album featuring its current five-member lineup following Winwin’s departure. However, fans quickly noticed a major difference between the album and tour plans.
According to the agency’s notice, only Kun, Hendery, Xiaojun, and Yangyang will participate in the concert tour, while Ten, who left SM Entertainment earlier this year, was not included in the lineup.
The omission immediately sparked discussion across social media. Some fans questioned why Ten would not be joining the concerts, while others criticized SM Entertainment and debated what his absence could mean for his future involvement in WayV’s group activities.
A day after the announcement, Yangyang shared a message on his Instagram Story that many interpreted as a response to the growing online conversation. The post read:
“Everything happens for a fucxing reasons. It is up to how everyone interprets. Just know that we’re gonna deliver no matter what. Enjoy and live as we go. That’s the priority.”
The Story was later deleted, but screenshots quickly spread across social media, fueling even more speculation.
Fan reactions have been divided. Some interpreted the message as a subtle comment directed at Ten’s absence from the tour, suggesting Yangyang was addressing the ongoing discussion surrounding the lineup. Others disagreed, arguing that the post was instead intended to reassure fans and encourage them not to dwell on criticism or speculation, emphasizing that the remaining members would still do their best during the tour.
Because Yangyang did not clarify the meaning of his message before deleting it, its intended target remains unknown. As a result, the brief Instagram Story has continued to generate debate among fans, with differing interpretations circulating across online communities.
