On the August 23 episode of Coupang Play’s Office Workers Season 2, Kwon Nara appeared as a guest.
When someone brought up the rumor, saying, “There’s talk that you dated Yang Se-chan,” Kwon Nara responded, “This has always been a dilemma for me because our names constantly come up together in related searches. I once met him at a meal with senior Jo Se-ho, and that’s it—I don’t really know him. We had a meal together once, and I haven’t seen him since.”
At that moment, host Shin Dong-yup called Yang Se-chan directly. Shin asked, “Your name keeps popping up in related searches with Kwon Nara. I heard you once had a meal together?” Yang responded, “With me?” sounding puzzled.
Shin handed the phone to Kwon Nara so they could speak directly. Yang asked her, “Did you ever have dinner with Se-ho and me?” Kwon Nara nervously replied, “That’s how I remember it, was I wrong?” Yang said, “I’ve never done that. Are you confusing me with someone else?”

While discussing her tendency to be cast in roles involving infidelity, Kwon admitted, “I often get offered roles where I play someone who cheats.” The moment turned into a comedy ambush when Car, the Garden playfully asked, “But have you ever actually cheated in real life?” —leaving Kwon visibly flustered.
It was Kim Won-hoon who cautiously raised the elephant in the room, saying, “There’s talk that you and Yang Se-chan once dated.” The speculation didn’t stop there. Veteran MC Shin Dong-yup added fuel to the fire with, “So does that mean it wasn’t Yang Se-chan?”
To top it all off, the teaser ended with the cast setting up a live phone call with Yang Se-chan himself—potentially setting the stage for some long-awaited clarity.
The romance rumors trace back to an episode of SBS’s Running Man, where Kwon Nara and Yang Se-chan’s undeniable on-screen chemistry first caught public attention.
The situation escalated when Jeon So-min teased Yang, “How’s my junior from university doing?” —a comment that fans quickly connected to Kwon Nara, who also studied Broadcasting and Entertainment at Dongduk Women’s University. The dots connected a bit too easily, and netizens soon theorized a past romantic link.
