Yang Se-chan Recalls When He Joined ‘Running Man’, “Unlike Jeon So-min, I Wandered Around Like A Ghost”
On December 26th, the YouTube channel “TEO” uploaded a new video featuring the guest appearance of Yang Se-chan.
Jang Do-yeon boasted about her chemistry with Yang Se-chan, saying people around them often ask whether the two were dating.
When asked if there were any embarrassing moments throughout his career, Yang Se-chan chose the time when he first joined “Running Man”. He shared, “From 2017 until a long time later, there were many moments where I felt embarrassed of myself. At that time, I made many people laugh on ‘Comedy Big League’ and was doing well. I entered a variety show for the first time and ‘Running Man’ was a very popular program”.
He confessed, “Those three years were very long. I felt extremely embarrassed. Nothing worked out and I wandered around by myself for a very long time. I couldn’t even watch ‘Running Man’”, adding “What’s more suffocating and embarrassing was that I never heard any people around talk about me. What were there to talk about? I didn’t do anything. Even when my colleagues watched the broadcast, they said I didn’t appear much. But we knew that I was edited out. That’s why I didn’t talk anymore and just wandered around like a ghost”.
Yang Se-chan continued, “Whenever I went to the shoot, I always told myself to do something but couldn’t do anything in the end. Even other members couldn’t help me”, adding “Timing was a problem and I needed to adapt to the program, but the adaptation period was so long. So-min joined at the same time as me but she became popular very fast and even won Rookie Awards, Excellence Awards and Daesang”, making Jang Do-yeon feel sad for him.
However, Yang Se-chan doesn’t want to forget those times. He shared, “I had a precious time learning many things”, adding “I do want to make those memories become a little blurry. I want to erase only some several moments and still want to keep something about that time to learn.” Hearing the story, Jang Do-yeon encouraged Yang Se-chan, saying “You had a hard time. No matter what program it is, when there’s a spot that does not fit me, I also have to fit into it and solve the homework myself”.
