Will EXID’s Hani move forward with her long-postponed wedding to psychiatrist Yang Jae-woong?
Public scrutiny has intensified after a doctor working at Yang’s clinic was arrested in connection to the death of a patient. On October 20, the Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency’s Criminal Investigation Unit arrested Dr. A on charges of professional negligence resulting in death.
Judge Yang Woo-chang of the Bucheon branch of the Incheon District Court issued the arrest warrant following a pretrial detention hearing, citing concerns over possible evidence tampering.

Dr. A was employed at the hospital run by Yang Jae-woong. The case revolves around the death of a woman in her 30s, referred to as Patient B, who had been admitted in May last year for treatment related to diet pill addiction. Despite complaining of abdominal pain and other symptoms, B reportedly did not receive proper medical care and later died. A total of 11 individuals, including Yang Jae-woong, have been named as suspects in the case.
Yang has consistently denied any negligence on the part of the clinic, asserting there was no malpractice. However, the arrest of a direct caregiver in the case has now placed Yang’s role under heightened scrutiny.

Meanwhile, Yang Jae-woong and Hani have been in a publicly confirmed relationship, and they had plans to marry in September last year. However, backlash ensued after it was revealed that their wedding announcement came just three days after Patient B’s death. Facing mounting criticism, Hani indefinitely postponed the wedding.
Recently, Hani appeared on MBN’s Dr. Oh’s Stay, where she candidly opened up about her emotional state. She shared, “I’ve developed the courage to be disliked,” and “My life isn’t unfolding the way I planned.”
With legal developments surrounding Yang Jae-woong now unfolding, fans and media alike are watching closely to see whether the couple’s marriage plans will be revived or permanently shelved.
