With many viewers waiting for Season 2, lead actor Im Si-wan shared his thoughts on this.
On January 7th, Im Si-wan, who played the role of Jang Byeong-tae in “Boyhood”, appeared on JTBC’s “Newsroom”.
Regarding the success of “Boyhood”, he opened up, “I’m usually a person who is distant from laughter and humor. However, when I see people responding with joy, I think, ‘They must have enjoyed ‘Boyhood’.‘”
He added, “For me, it’s a very encouraging and pleasant thing.”
He also expressed positivity regarding the possibility of Season 2. He said “I really want it“, showing his enthusiasm more than anyone else.
Im Si-wan even sent a video letter to the director, saying in the dialect used in the drama, “Director Lee Myung-woo. If you delay too much, it won’t be ‘Boyhood’ but ‘Youthhood’.“
He caused laughter by adding, “We’re all getting old. Let’s shoot ‘Old Agehood’ if needed.”
Im Si-wan also mentioned that Byeong-tae’s geekiness was originally his own. He shared, “It was a work where I became aware of the fact that I was living a life diligently even though there was nothing special. It was a great opportunity, and I decided not to forget the geeky side.”
Im Si-wan’s extraordinary sense and acting skills received explosive reactions from many netizens, with comments like “I really hope Season 2 comes out” and “Please shoot it before it becomes ‘Old Agehood’.“
