Who will become HYBE’s new girl group members? Survival program “R U Next?” airs first episode today (June 30)
Audition show “R U Next?”, which selects members for HYBE Labels’s next girl group, is finally launching.
JTBC’s survival program “R U Next?” (produced by Studio Jam/ Mushroom Company) will finally air its first episode at 8:50 p.m. on June 30th.
The first episode will show female trainees performing for the first time in front of MC Choi Soo Young and the judges. They are expected to go through a “tryout” to prove their skills and showcase their charms as well as overwhelming talents.
The production team stated, “Amidst the high-level performances that receive praise from the judges, the number of the final debut lineup and evaluation method will be announced later.”
Global music fans are showing keen interest in “R U Next?”. Profile videos of trainees uploaded on the official TikTok account of “R U Next?” on the 17th and 18th have accumulated over 17 million views. The dance challenge of the show’s theme song “R.U.N” is also gaining popularity thanks to its easy-to-follow choreography.
“R U Next?” is a program that selects final members for the next global girl group produced by HYBE & CJ ENM JV’s label BELIFT LAB. 22 trainees of BELIFT LAB will have to pass seven challenges in this survival one by one and prove their potential as well as start quality. In order to debut as “global K-pop stars”, the trainees are expected to create their own growth story with intense competition and friendship moments.
Meanwhile, “R U Next?” will broadcast live globally on JTBC, the Youtuber channel of HYBE Labels, and Abema channel in Japan. Korean viewers can rewatch the show on Netflix, Wavve, etc.
