Who do Japanese teens think is the most handsome male idol and prettiest female idol in Korea?

K-pop is loved by people all over the world, including Japan. It has been more than 20 years since the Hallyu wave craze broke out in Japan. Japanese teenagers not only follow Korean idols’ fashion and makeup styles but also food. 

While the influence of K-pop is growing day by day in Japan, an interesting survey is taking place in Japan. Recently, a community in Japan conducted a poll on “Who is the most handsome and pretty” for Korean male and female idols.

A total of 20,804 Japanese teenage boys and girls participated in the poll to select the most handsome K-pop male idol and most beautiful female idol.

1st place was Jin, BTS’s oldest member, who is about to enlist in the military. Japanese students are fascinated by the charm of Jin, who has sculpture-like features and a tall physique. 

BTS V, who was previously ranked 1st in ‘The World’s Most Handsome Men’, was placed 4th in this poll.

He was followed by Jungkook, BTS’s maknae, ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo, who is dubbed ‘face genius’, and SHINee’s Taemin. 

Korean fans who saw the results of the survey also agreed with the choice of Japanese teenagers, leaving comments such as, “The eyes are the same wherever you go in the world” and “It seems that fans everywhere have the same standard for good-looking men.”

Meanwhile, TWICE’s Tzuyu took first place in the Korean girl group member beauty rankings chosen by Japanese teenagers.

Tzuyu has long been famous for her unrealistic beauty, ranking third in the ‘World’s Most Beautiful Face Ranking’ released in 2017.

The 2nd to 6th places were also members of TWICE. Sana, Mina, Jihyo, Momo, and Nayeon were listed in order.

The 7th place was Ayaka of NiziU, and the 8th place was TWICE’s Dahyun.

The 9th and 10th places were taken by BLACKPINK’s Lisa and Jisoo, respectively.
