Which series will become “the second The Glory”? Park Seo Joon, Han So Hee and Go Hyun Jung appear on Netflix

Global OTT Netflix is ready to leap forward with an incredible lineup for the Year of the Rabbit. 

Popular works that captivated the world will return splendidly with follow-up parts and new seasons. Besides, new works of various genres will also aim for the position of “the second The Glory“. What kind of works are in the 2023 drama lineup that will make prospective viewers’ hearts flutter?

The sequels to the popular series, such as “D.P.“, “The Glory” and “Sweet Home“, will visit Netflix users this year.

K-content series that will showcase novel storytelling are on standby. First of all, “Love to Hate You”, which is scheduled to be released on Feb 10th, is a romantic comedy drama in which a woman who doesn’t want to lose pathologically to a man and a man who pathologically suspects a woman are healed through war-like love.

Director Kim Ju Hwan’s “Bloodhounds” is set to be released in the second quarter. “Bloodhounds” is a noir action drama about three men who became entangled in debt but attempt to escape it in any way they can.

“Black Knight” starring Kim Woo Bin and Song Seung Heon, which will be unveiled in the second quarter, is considered one of Netflix’s most anticipated works in 2023. “Black Knight” is set in the year 2071, when it is impossible to live without a respirator due to extreme air pollution. With a majority of the Korean peninsula now a wasteland and only 1 percent of its original population remaining, delivery drivers play a crucial role in the survival of its inhabitants. The legendary delivery man who goes by the name “5-8” with extraordinary fighting skills meets “Sa Wol”, a refugee who dreams of becoming a delivery driver, the only hope of refugees.

“Mask Girl”, which is scheduled to open in the third quarter, tells the story of an ordinary office worker with an appearance complex, who gets caught up in an unintended incident while working as an internet broadcasting BJ while covering her face with a mask every night. It stars Go Hyun Jung, Ahn Jae Hong and Yeom Hye Ran.

Expectations are also high for “Gyeongseong Creature”, which will be released in the fourth quarter. Set in the spring of 1945, when Gyeongseong (the old name for Seoul) was in its darkest era, “Gyeongseong Creature” depicts the story of people who fight fiercely at the border between life and death.
