Japanese comedian Ryota Yamasato mentioned his wife, actor Yuu Aoi, as well as their married life, in a recent program.
On February 5th, Ryota Yamasato, along with Minami Tanaka and Ayaka Hironaka, talked about the theme of “How important is it to have the same hobbies and personalities as lovers?” on a variety program.
Here, Ayaka Hironaka, who got married in 2022, said, “My husband and I have absolutely no similar hobbies or personalities. My husband is active and enjoys golf and fishing. I don’t like active hobbies. Still, we tend to get along well with each other.”
Meanwhile, Ryota Yamasato shared, “I and (Yuu Aoi) are completely different, she just has different tastes. Still, seeing my wife happy makes me happy too. I actually really enjoy our different hobbies.”
As she heard the two stories, Minami Tanaka expressed her envy and commented, “Both (of your relationships) are very ideal. I think they are wonderful.”
Ryota Yamasato, who was born in 1977, has been active as part of the comedy duo called “The Nankai Candies” with Shizuyo Yamasaki, a Japanese female comedian born in 1979.
Ryota Yamasato graduated from the Department of Education at Kansai University, and is still active as a commentator for TV shows such as “Terrace House”, as well as voice actor for animation series such as “Detective Conan” and “One Piece”.
In 2019, when he married Yuu Aoi, he was mentioned as the best comedian to the extent that his annual income was estimated to fall around 100 million yen, with 16 fixed programs.
Meanwhile, Ryota’s wife Yuu Aoi was born in 1985. She made her stage debut in the 1999 musical “Annie”, followed by a 2001 film debut in “All About Lily Chou-Chou” and roles in “Hana and Alice”, “Hula Girls”, and “Honey and Clover”.
On June 5th, 2019, Yuu Aoi and Ryota Yamasato held a press conference and revealed that they have registered their marriage. Later, in February of 2022, Ryota Yamasato said on air that his wife was with child.
