Waterbomb Osaka show canceled due to serious accident, “We’ll find measures to prevent recurrence”

The Waterbomb festival in Osaka, Japan has been canceled.

On July 14th, Waterbomb Japan released a notice on their official SNS account, saying “Waterbomb Japan 2023 Osaka show, which was originally scheduled for July 15th-16th, has been canceled due to a serious accident”.

The Waterbomb organizer said, “We deeply apologize for causing inconvenience to the audience and staff who have waited for the event, and for making this announcement just before the show. We will come up with measures to prevent such incidents from happening again.”

Accordingly, ticket holders will receive full refunds.

The Waterbomb Osaka show was scheduled to feature various stars, including Big Bang Daesung, 2PM Nickhun & Jun.K, MAMAMOO+, Jay Park, GOT7 Yugyeom, Loco, Gray, Big Naughty, Haon, STAYC, etc.

Waterbomb is a large-scale summer festival that allows the audience to enjoy music performances while splashing water. Apart from various cities in Korea, such as Seoul, Incheon, Daegu, Busan, Daejeon, Suwon, Sokcho, and Jeju, the festival is also held in Japan and Thailand.
