Watcha’s original series “Damn Good Company” set a record for the first time in Korea.

On March 9th, Watcha revealed that “Damn Good Company” was invited to the 2022 Cannes International Series Festival non-competitive category.

The 2022 Cannes International Series Festival will be held in Cannes, France, from the 1st to the 6th of next month. The event has been held since 2018 for drama series contents around the world and will be divided into competition, short competition, and non-competition categories. Four works are selected every year for the non-competitive general screening category, to which “Damn Good Company” was invited.

Damn Good Company” is the first web drama produced in Korea to break this record. Korean content has been steadily attracting attention at the Cannes International Series Festival since 2018, when the event was established. For example, the tvN drama “Mother” was invited in 2018, but it is the first time for a Korean web drama.

Damn Good Company” actors, directors, and producers will attend the festival and stand on the red carpet to hold a screening event for audiences from all over the world. The detailed schedule has not yet been disclosed.
