Wang Seok Hyun, once the nation’s sweetheart as Park Bo Young’s son in the hit film Scandal Makers, has updated fans with new photos showcasing his mature transformation.
On September 11, Wang shared playful selfies captioned “peeking” on his Instagram, believed to be taken in a photo booth. At 22 years old, the former child star stunned fans with his grown-up looks and tall frame. As his first post since February, the update quickly drew comments like “We missed you!” and “Still so cute.”

Wang Seok Hyun was just five years old when he rose to stardom in the 2008 box office hit Scandal Makers, playing Hwang Ki Dong—the grandson of Cha Tae Hyun’s character and the son of Park Bo Young’s character. His cheeky expressions and witty acting won over audiences, earning him the nickname “Sseok-sso” (a play on “sassy Seok Hyun”).
Following his breakout role, Wang appeared in numerous projects, including dramas My Fair Lady, Can’t Live Without You, Ad Genius Lee Tae Baek, Still 17, and A Pledge to God, as well as films like Song of Dreams and Return of the Mafia. He also joined the variety program Leaving the Nest 3.

In 2018, Wang faced a shocking incident when he received death threats from a fan in their 30s, drawing concern from the public. Despite hardships, he continued to grow into a handsome young man standing 181 cm tall.
He later shared updates through appearances on MBC’s Radio Star in 2021 and showcased his singing skills on TV Chosun’s The Country Calls in 2023. However, he has not been active in the entertainment industry recently, leaving fans eager for news of his next steps.
From an adored child star to a promising young adult, Wang Seok Hyun’s journey continues to spark curiosity—and nostalgia—for those who still remember him as the mischievous little boy from Scandal Makers.
