“Unpretty Rapstar 3” female rapper questioned by the Gangnam Police Station as soon as she returned to Korea

Rapper Grace (Kim Eun Mi, 30 years old), who competed in Mnet’s “Unpretty Rapstar 3”, lost to her agency in the lawsuit over her absence without leave.

Grace was recently found to have lost in a compensation suit for her absence without leave filed by her agency YYAC. The female rapper signed an exclusive contract with YYAC in December 2015. Her contract was effective until November 2022, but the agency couldn’t contact Grace after she moved to the U.S. in 2018.

YYAC then took legal action and sued Grace for breach of contract. Grace also filed a counterclaim but was rejected.

As a result, Grace was ordered to pay her agency for loss incurred by delays at the rate of 5% per year for the period from August 2019 to May 2021, and 12% per year from the following day until the day she completed her payment.

Despite the ruling, Grace did not pay the compensation following the court ruling. In the end, she reportedly wrote a reimbursement confirmation and paid the money only after all of her accounts were seized.

The agency sued Grace three times from 2019 to 2020 for violating copyright law. After arriving in Korea recently, Grace was questioned at the Seoul Gangnam Police Station.
