“Unanswered Questions” had to side with FIFTY FIFTY because of Omega X? “Seriously distort the truth”

Omega X refuted the “tampering” suspicion that they tried to move to another agency by acting the assault damage as well as heralded legal action.

Omega X’s agency IPQ announced on August 21st, “The video ‘Why ‘Unanswered Questions’ had to side with FIFTY FIFTY’ posted on the YouTube channel ‘In Ji Woong K-pop idol trainer’ was produced by OMEGA X’s former agency, SPIRE Entertainment, based solely on their allegations and seriously distorts the truth.

A YouTuber claimed through a video posted on his channel, “The reason why ‘Unanswered Questions’ had no choice but to side with FIFTY FIFTY is because of Omega X. SBS, where ‘Want to know that’ is broadcast, directly participated in the Omega X tampering incident.

He claimed that Omega X members were acting in videos that became hot topics due to violence and assault, and that they had deliberately provoked the former agency’s CEO for several months in order to leave the agency. He also raised suspicions that Omega X had contacted a large music distributor in advance.

Regarding the video, Omega X’s side said, “We found that the stories told by their former agency, SPIRE Entertainment, and YouTuber In Ji Woong are all false.”

They continued, “We would like to inform you that the claims made by SPIRE Entertainment about OMEGA X members’ backstage and scheduling locations, accommodations, staff, and fans are all false and made solely with the intent to slander the members.”

They added, “We also emphasize our stance that we wïll continue to take strong legal action against all situations that spread falsehoods and damage the smooth activities and recovery of OMEGA X in the future, including this incident.”

The following is the full text of IPQ’s official position.

Hello, this is IPQ.

We would like to explain our position and response to the video “Why ‘Unanswered Questions’ had to side with FIFTY FIFTY” posted on the YouTube channel “In Ji Woong K-pop idol trainer”.

The video was produced by OMEGA X’s former agency, SPIRE Entertainment, based solely on their allegations and seriously distorts the truth.

The channel that published the video should have contacted us about the events mentioned in the video and verified the facts with all the people and companies involved before publishing the video, but instead, they published the video based solely on the one-sided allegations of the former agency as if they were the obvious truth.

We have checked with the former manager of OMEGA X who appears in the video, the journalist who reported on the incident, the media reports at the time, and the entire record of the incident, and found that the stories told by their former agency, SPIRE Entertainment, and YouTuber In Ji Woong are all false.

We would like to inform you that the claims made by SPIRE Entertainment about OMEGA X members’ backstage and scheduling locations, accommodations, staff, and fans are all false and made solely with the intent to slander the members.

1. As previously reported in the media on several occasions, OMEGA X has legally signed an exclusive contract with a new agency (our company, IPQ) by agreement after obtaining a legal decision from the court in recognition of the assault, verbal abuse, and threats from their former agency, SPIRE Entertainment, over a long period of time. The matter is clearly stated in the court’s reasons for the decision and the supporting evidence. 2. It is a clear falsehood that OMEGA X acted for financial reasons to move to a new agency as stated in the video.

It was solely an appeal to society for help to escape the prolonged physical and mental abuse at the hands of SPIRE Entertainment.

Contrary to the video’s claims of financial intervention from Danal Entertainment, the members of OMEGA X have been engaged in an arduous legal battle to the extent that they have received support from their lawyers for their attorney’s fees and other expenses in preparing the application for the suspension of the validity of the exclusive contract.

3. Even if we had to take on the debts of the former agency, SPIRE Entertainment, as revealed in the video, we signed an exclusive contract to ensure the dreams, human rights, and basic treatment of the artists, including the members of OMEGA X, and tried to continue our activities smoothly without further physical and mental harm and abuse.

Claiming that the decision to sign an exclusive contract with us was based on mere economic interests is another act of perpetuating further mental harm and abuse on OMEGA X members.

4. We are a completely separate company from Danal Entertainment.

We have legally entered into an exclusivity agreement with OMEGA X and have been transferred ancillary IP through the agreement, and we are not affiliated with Danal Entertainment by way of affiliation or equity relationship.

5. It is also completely untrue that OMEGA X members have been cleared of sexual assault against OMEGA X members.

They have merely not filed any charges as per their previous agreement with SPIRE Entertainment to terminate their exclusive contract and transfer their IP.

In addition to the evidence presented on the broadcast, we are currently in possession of a large amount of evidence of sexual violence perpetrated by former agency representatives.

We announce that we will be responding to the video and the issue as follows.

1. Legal response and criminal prosecution for defamation of our company and our artist OMEGA X from the dissemination of falsehoods by SPIRE Entertainment and the “In Ji Woong K-pop idol trainer” channel where the video was posted.

2. Legal action and criminal prosecution for breach of contract in connection with the termination of the exclusive contract between SPIRE Entertainment and OMEGA X and the IP transfer agreement of OMEGA X.

3. Legal action and criminal prosecution for physical and mental abuse against OMEGA X members by SPIRE Entertainment.

We had been working to help OMEGA X successfully resume their career and to keep the harm caused by their former agency as private as possible so as to not inflict more trauma upon the members so that they could heal and move on to pursue their dreams.

However, we have reached a point where we could no longer ignore the unilateral termination of the agreement and the distortion of the truth by their former agency, SPIRE Entertainment.

We hereby announce that we will have come clean about the entire truth about the relationship between OMEGA X and SPIRE Entertainment and all the facts and matters leading up to our exclusivity agreement.

We also emphasize our stance that we wïll continue to take strong legal action against all situations that spread falsehoods and damage the smooth activities and recovery of OMEGA X in the future, including this incident.
