Uhm Jung-hwa Mentions Recent Girl Groups, “They’re All Lovely But I Won’t Do Cover Stage At Concert”

Singer Uhm Jung-hwa talked about junior girl groups

Uhm Jung-hwa guested on SBS PowerFM radio show “Kim Young-chul’s PowerFM” on October 6th.

That day, a listener asked Uhm Jung-hwa, “There are many popular girl groups recently. NewJeans, IVE, LE SSERAFIM, etc. Is there any girl group song you want to cover at the concert in December?”.

Uhm Jung-hwa replied, “I performed with LE SSERAFIM once. The members are all very lovely”, adding “NewJeans and IVE members are also pretty. I like them all”, expressing affection for junior singers.

She then honestly confessed, “But I don’t even have enough time to sing my own songs. I don’t think I can cover girl group songs”, drawing laughter.

Regarding the suggestion of inviting Kim Jong-min as a V-man for “Poison” performance, Uhm Jung-hwa said, “I haven’t thought about that. I should call him”.

Meanwhile, Uhm Jung-hwa will hold her first solo concert “Invitation” after 20 years. Starting with the first show at Jamsil Students’ Gymnasium on December 9th~10th, the concert will continue at Daegu EXCO on December 23rd and at Busan BEXCO on December 31st.
