Broadcast on July 16, the episode featured Soobin candidly discussing his nerves and aspirations for variety shows. “I have ambitions for variety shows,” he said with a sheepish grin, “but our group isn’t really known for being that funny, so we haven’t been invited to many.”
Determined to make a good impression, Soobin turned to seasoned idols for advice. BTS’s RM gave him a piece of golden, if unconventional, wisdom: “Go and be loud. Go all out.” The straightforward suggestion left both the studio and viewers in stitches.
He also consulted SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan, a variety show favorite, for help on how to prepare. “I told him I don’t have any special talents or impressions,” Soobin said. “But he just replied, ‘What kind of personal skills? Just go!’”
MC Kim Gura couldn’t help but joke, “Seems like no one around you is giving you any real advice,” triggering more laughter from the cast.
