TWICE’s Nayeon tested positive for COVID-19… “She didn’t look good from the time she entered Korea”
TWICE’s Nayeon, Momo and Tzuyu tested positive for COVID-19 in a PCR test conducted after returning from the United States on May 21st.
The agency said, “All members were tested negative for COVID-19 PCR testing after arriving in the United States, for daily antigen testings and for departure PCR testing.”
They added, “Nayeon, Momo and Tzuyu have completed the 3rd round of vaccinations. Currently, Nayeon is feeling fatigue, while Tzuyu and Momo are experiencing coughs and all three members are in quarantine, following guidelines by the health department.”
Nayeon, who has the most symptoms, did not look good from the time she entered Korea. Unlike other members, Nayeon, who wore cargo pants, long sleeves and a hat, was the only one leaving the arrival hall with her head down without looking at reporters’ cameras. On the other hand, Momo and Tzuyu, who have milder symptoms than Nayeon, showed no special characteristics from other members. Momo naturally left the arrival hall looking at reporters and fans, while Tzuyu entered Korea wearing a short-sleeved shirt.
Meanwhile, while many K-pop singers have recently performed overseas, from May 23rd onwards, in addition to the PCR test, the rapid antigen test for experts was also recognized as a COVID-19 test conducted before entering Korea from abroad, improving the convenience of testing for overseas entrants.
