TWICE member Jeongyeon has reportedly met with Varo Entertainment, the agency representing her older sister Gong Seung Yeon and actor Byeon Woo Seok, as she prepares to expand her career into acting.
According to an exclusive report by OSEN on June 24, Jeongyeon recently held a private meeting with executives from Varo Entertainment. The meeting is said to have included serious discussions regarding her future activities as an actress.

A representative from Varo Entertainment confirmed the meeting to OSEN, stating, “It is true that we met with Jeongyeon. However, nothing has been finalized regarding an exclusive contract at this time.” The agency maintained a cautious stance on the possibility of a future partnership.
Jeongyeon is currently preparing for her film debut through New Recruit: Haunted Military Hospital, marking her first appearance on the big screen in a decade. The film adaptation of the popular ENA drama series New Recruit has already generated significant attention, with Jeongyeon cast in the role of a military nurse officer.

As she broadens her career into acting, her meeting with Varo Entertainment has drawn particular interest due to her family connection. Her older sister, actress Gong Seung Yeon, is currently signed under the agency, making the potential move even more noteworthy.
With Jeongyeon showing a stronger commitment to acting, fans have also become curious about her future with TWICE and the status of the group’s contract renewal discussions.

In response, a representative from JYP Entertainment told OSEN, “We are continuing discussions with Jeongyeon during the contract renewal period,” offering a brief official statement regarding her future with the company.
Following fellow TWICE member Dahyun’s decision to actively pursue both acting and music, Jeongyeon now appears set to follow a similar path. As she balances her activities as a singer and actress, fans are eagerly watching to see what direction her career will take next.
