On June 23, Winter spoke about her new furry family member during a live broadcast on a fan communication platform. When asked about how she adopted the dog, Winter explained, “The puppy came from a shelter.”
She continued, “I heard the puppy was originally at an auction facility, but no one adopted it. It was about to be sent to a breeding farm. The shelter rescued the puppy, and I ended up adopting it.”

Earlier, on June 18, Winter shared several photos of the dog through her personal social media account, giving fans a glimpse into her life as a new pet owner.
In the photos, the puppy charmed fans with adorable expressions, including what appeared to be a wink and a relaxed pose lying next to a remote control. Winter also showcased her inexperience as a first-time dog owner, drawing warm reactions from fans.

Sharing a photo of the puppy sleeping, she jokingly asked, “When their eyes roll back while sleeping, am I supposed to close them?” In another post showing the puppy nibbling at her, she sought advice by asking, “How do you train a baby puppy that bites?” She also playfully captioned a photo of the dog staring at her with, “The puppy keeps threatening its owner.”
However, after the dog’s photos were posted, speculation began circulating online regarding its adoption background. Some netizens claimed, without verification, that the puppy may have come from a pet shop or auction facility because it appeared to be a purebred dog.

As the rumors spread, Winter decided to directly clarify the situation by explaining the dog’s rescue and adoption process. In recent years, illegal breeding farms and animal auction facilities have become significant social issues in South Korea, leading to increased public scrutiny regarding pet adoption sources.
Meanwhile, aespa recently released their second full-length album LEMONADE and continue to actively promote the project. Despite her busy schedule, Winter has been sharing moments from her daily life with her new pet while staying connected with fans.
