On October 16 (KST), the world’s most famous lingerie fashion show took place in the U.S., featuring the globally popular K-pop group TWICE as guest performers. Only four members Jihyo, Nayeon, Momo, and Tzuyu took the stage, marking the group’s first-ever appearance at the event. Fans had high hopes that TWICE would bring the same level of energy and star power that BLACKPINK’s Lisa delivered in her groundbreaking performance at last year’s show. Unfortunately, the result was far from expectations.

Their performance, which included the songs Strategy and This Is For, was criticized for being bland, shaky, and lacking charisma. Many international viewers pointed out the members’ nervous vocals, unsteady live singing, and awkward English pronunciation, describing the stage as “sleep-inducing” and “underwhelming” compared to Madison Beer.
The only saving grace of TWICE’s appearance seemed to be their stunning visuals. All four members drew attention for their flawless figures, long legs, and bold, cleavage-baring outfits that dominated both the red carpet and the main stage. However, that alone wasn’t enough to win over audiences. On social media platform X (formerly Twitter), many users bluntly commented that “aside from flaunting their chests, Jihyo, Nayeon, Momo, and Tzuyu had nothing else to offer at Victoria’s Secret Show 2025.”

Fans also noted that, unlike Lisa’s headline-making appearance last year, TWICE did not receive any special treatment or “Angel Wings” from the Victoria’s Secret organizers. Instead, they were made to perform at the sides of the runway, ceding the main stage to the professional models a move that some viewed as a sign of the brand’s lack of respect or enthusiasm toward the group.
